Driver at Derrato Enterprises

We are looking for a reliable, professional, and experienced Driver to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive company staff, clients, and goods safely to assigned destinations.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean, well maintained, and in good working condition.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections, including checking fuel, oil, tyres, brakes, lights, and other basic vehicle functions.
• Report any mechanical problems, damage, or service requirements immediately.
• Follow all traffic rules, road safety regulations, and company transport procedures.
• Plan efficient routes and ensure timely arrivals and deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel usage, mileage, and vehicle servicing.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods where necessary.
• Ensure all vehicle documents, licences, insurance, and inspection certificates are valid.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and good conduct at all times.

Requirements

• Valid driving licence, Class B or above.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven driving experience.
• Good knowledge of local and regional routes.
• Strong understanding of road safety and traffic regulations.
• Must be punctual, reliable, honest, and trustworthy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be well-groomed and maintain a professional appearance.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends when required.
• Must be physically fit, alert, and able to perform assigned duties.
• Certificate of Good Conduct or no criminal record.
• Ability to carry out basic vehicle checks and report faults promptly.

Added Advantage

• Defensive driving certification or training.
• Basic mechanical knowledge or previous mechanical experience.
