ORCHID HR are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Intern who will support the Human Resources department in day-to-day administrative and operational tasks. The role offers hands-on exposure to recruitment, employee relations, documentation, and HR processes while contributing to an efficient HR function.
Duration: 3 months
Remuneration: A monthly stipend will be provided (this is not a salaried position)
This is your chance to gain hands-on experience in recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, and workplace operations while learning from experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in posting job adverts on various platforms.
- Schedule and coordinate candidate interviews.
- Support the shortlisting process.
- Support in preparing HR letters i.e., contracts, confirmation letters, notices.
- Help address employee inquiries by directing them to the HR Manager.
- Prepare onboarding documentation i.e., offer letters, contracts, induction materials
- Participate in HR projects such as policy development, job descriptions, HR audits, and compliance support.
- Assist in preparing HR proposals, reports, and presentations.
- Maintain organized employee records and HR databases.
- Participate in performance appraisals and tracking reviews.
- Assist in preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly HR reports
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
- Knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and HR best practices.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
