Mombasa County Government is recruiting 70 Solid Waste Management Administration Interns for a Six (6) Months Internship Contract.
Pursuant to the provisions of Article 235 of Constitution of Kenya (2010), Mombasa County Public Service Board wishes to consider applications from qualified and results oriented officers to the following internship positions in the DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT & SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT
SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT-ADMINISTRATION INTERNS (DEGREE HOLDERS) – TWENTY-FIVE (25) POSTS
Terms of Service: Six (6) Months Contract
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct community awareness on waste segregation and proper disposal
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly operational reports
- Collect and analyse waste management data
- Support recycling and resource recovery activities at the MRF
- Monitor illegal dumping sites
- Support operations at Mwakirunge dumpsite
- Any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Requirements for Appointment
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental science, Waste Management, Public Health, Climate Change, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, or any other related field from a recognized institution
- Proficiency in computer application
- Be an unemployed Kenyan graduate
- Have not retired or exited from formal employment
- Good communication and interpersonal skill
- Ability to work in field environment
- Willingness to learn and work with communities
- Ability to prepare basic reports and maintain records

Terms of Service: Six (6) Months Contract

Terms of Service: Six (6) Months Contract
