Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), a state corporation & the national body responsible for carrying out health research in Kenya, are hiring a Research Interns; Statistics in Nairobi.
Key Responsibilities:
- Literature reviews and evidence synthesis.
- Development of study protocols, data collection tools, and training materials.
- Coordination of field activities and stakeholder engagement meetings.
- Quantitative data collection.
- Data management and analysis.
- Preparation of technical reports, presentations, policy briefs, and manuscripts.
- Monitoring project activities and documenting lessons learned.
- Administrative and logistical support for project implementation.
- Any other duties assigned by the project investigators.
Vacancy Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Epidemiology, or another quantitative field.
- Strong interest in implementation research, neglected tropical diseases, community health, and health systems.
- Experience in public health or community-based research.
- Experience using REDCap, KoboCollect, ODK, or similar electronic data collection platforms.
- Knowledge of statistical software (STATA, R, SPSS, SAS, or Python).
- Experience working with Ministry of Health programmes, community health workers, or research institutions.
