The State Department for Social Protection and Seenior Citizen Affairs is currently seeking to undertake recruitment exercise to onboard two hundred and eighty (280) mentors and nineteen (19) mentor supervisors to be done in various locations within sixteen (16) Sub-Counties in ten (10) Counties.
The Government of Kenya, through the Kenya Social and Economic Inclusion Project (KSEIP II), is implementing the Economic Inclusion Program (EIP) to help households in extreme poverty build lasting livelihoods. To support delivery in selected Sub-Counties, the Government is recruiting Mentors and Mentor Supervisors who will work directly with participant households and communities. The program aims to ensure that selected participant households:
- are linked with programs and services that enable them to graduate from extreme poverty;
- establish sustainable livelihoods that support them in the face of socio-economic shocks;
- build the skills, knowledge and aptitudes needed to navigate the market;
- develop strong social connections; and
- become active members of Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs).
Mentors will provide regular coaching and support to participant households, while Mentor Supervisors will lead, train and coordinate Mentors within their Sub-County and ensure the delivery of program outputs. We invite committed, community-oriented individuals who are passionate about reducing poverty to apply and contribute to the Government’s drive for inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
