Responsibilities
- Monitor and review customer accounts to identify overdue payments and potential defaults.
- Contact borrowers through phone calls, emails, and field visits to follow up on overdue payments.
- Negotiate repayment plans and settlements with delinquent clients to recover outstanding amounts.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, repayment agreements, and collection activities.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on collection activities, including recovered amounts and arrears.
- Conduct field visits to assess clients’ financial situations and ensure effective debt recovery.
- Collaborate with loan officers and other stakeholders to address issues contributing to delinquency.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and legal regulations in all collection activities.
- Liaise with third-party collection agencies when necessary to recover overdue funds.
- Provide financial education and guidance to clients to encourage disciplined repayment behavior.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in any business-related course
- MUST have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role from a microfinance/ microcredit Industry
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to handle difficult conversations tactfully.
- Knowledge of revolving credit products and financial services regulations.
- Proficiency in data analysis and collection software.
- Commitment to ethical practices and customer service excellence.
Salary: Kes. 15,000 + Commission
