Atarah Solutions client in the Communications Sector is seeking a passionate and highly organized Events & Media Relations Officer to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver impactful events while driving effective media engagement that strengthens the organization’s visibility and brand reputation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and deliver events such as conferences, workshops, and corporate engagements.
• Develop event concepts, budgets, workplans, and logistics (venues, suppliers, travel, branding, catering, and accommodation).
• Manage invitations, RSVPS, VIP protocol, and event-day coordination.
• Prepare event materials – speeches, scripts, talking points, and post-event reports.
• Support media engagement strategies for events and campaigns.
• Draft press materials (invites, releases, briefing notes) and coordinate media access.
• Maintain updated media contact and stakeholder databases, and monitor coverage.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in communications, media, or event coordination.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities, with keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in social media platforms and digital communication tools.
• Able to collaborate and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
