Import / Export (IMPEX) Graduate Trainee Program

Kenafric Industries are looking for a driven Graduate Trainee – IMPEX to join their team in Nairobi, Kenya. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in import & export documentation, customs compliance, and export logistics within the Kenyan and EAC framework. Role Summary

Process and verify all export documentation, confirm applicable export duties and taxes in line with organizational and government procedures. and coordinate export logistics in compliance with Kenyan and EAC customs regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process import and export documentation (EAC, COMESA, customs entries).
• Follow up with clients and authorities on customs and clearance documents.
• Apply for port health permits and track approvals.
• Request exit notes, C2 forms, and cargo release.
• Support compliance with customs procedures before cargo loading and dispatch.
• Assist with truck arming and logistics follow-ups.
• File and maintain IMPEX documents for audit and VAT refund purposes.
• Update customs systems to ensure timely monthly exit of entries.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, Logistics, Commerce, or related field.
