Supply Chain Management Internship

The Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ), Kenya’s Office of the Ombudsman, is seeking a Supply Chain Management Intern to assist with various procurement and supply chain duties. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field to gain valuable experience in the public sector.

The Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ), or Office of the Ombudsman of Kenya, is a constitutional commission established under Article 59(4) of the Constitution and the CAJ Act of 2011. It tackles maladministration (abuse of power, unfair treatment, delay) in the public sector and enforces the Access to Information Act, 2016.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities for this position will entail:

1. Assist in collecting and compiling data for preparing procurement plans
2. Assist in participating to undertake market surveys of goods, services and works
3. Assist in participating in the procurement process
4. Assist in controlling and rationing stores
5. Assist in keeping security and safe custody of stores
6. Any other duty assigned by the Commission from time to time

JOB SPECIFICATION

For appointment to this position, a candidate must have;

1. A Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Supply Chain Management and Logistics, Purchasing and Supplies Management, Procurement and Supplies Management, Procurement, Commerce (Supplies Management option), Business Administration (Supplies Management Option) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

CLEARANCE/COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATES

Successful candidates will be required to provide copies of clearance or compliance certificates.
