Moringa School is seeking a Social Media Intern to join our Marketing team. The successful candidate will support brand awareness and contribute to org-wide content creation efforts, helping Moringa School maintain a consistent and engaging presence across social platforms to attract and inform prospective students.
Moringa School is a premier advanced immersive program, training exceptional full-stack/mobile Software Engineers and Data Scientists. Students train 10+ hours a day, 5 days a week, through 20 weeks in a curriculum focused on computer science & data fundamentals, frontend skills, and Python/Django or Java/Android.
The Social Media Intern will support the execution of content strategies across social media platforms. The role involves assisting in content creation, publishing, and performance tracking to strengthen brand visibility and audience engagement. This position offers hands-on experience in social media management, content planning, and online community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create, schedule, and publish content across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X)
- Maintain and update the monthly and weekly content calendar to ensure consistent posting schedules
- Draft platform-specific captions and copy in brand voice across different campaign types
- Repurpose long-form content — blogs, webinars, and events — into social-ready formats
- Assist in developing campaign visuals, captions, and creative assets aligned with brand guidelines
- Support video content production, including filming assistance and editing short-form videos and reels
- Source and curate user-generated content, student testimonials, and community posts for reposting
- Research and maintain relevant hashtag sets per platform and campaign
- Provide real-time social coverage during Moringa events, bootcamp launches, and career fairs
- Assist in developing static and video creative assets for paid social campaigns
- Monitor social media channels, respond to comments, and flag audience issues for escalation
- Track and compile basic performance metrics from social media platforms into summary reports or presentation slides
- Periodically review competitor social content to surface trends and gaps
- Maintain an organized library of social media assets, including images, videos, and copy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Recent degree in Communications OR Marketing
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with social media tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite) and basic SEO concepts.
