The Commission for University Education (CUE) seeks to recruit dynamic, result-oriented, competent and self-driven individual for the position of:

INSTITUTIONAL ACCREDITATION OFFICER - JOB GRADE CUE 6

Reference: CUE/01/2026/016
Terms of Employment: Permanent & Pensionable

a) Job specification

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

• Providing administrative and logistical arrangements for routine inspection/technical Inspection Committee meetings;
• Organizing documentation for Accreditation Committee Meetings;
• In-putting data on proposals received, institutions being evaluated and accredited institutions;
• In-putting data on prequalified peer reviewers into the official departmental database;
• Writing minutes during departmental and lower-level Commission Committee Meetings;
• Evaluating proposals on proposed universities and preparing evaluation reports;
• Evaluating institutional reports; and
• Maintaining status reports on the evaluation of the academic programmes.

b) Person specification

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Education, Business Administration, Law, Social Sciences or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
• Membership to relevant professional bodies and in good standing;
• Proficiency in computer applications; and
• Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
