Key Responsibilities:
- Process customer purchases accurately using cash, card, and mobile payment methods.
- Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system efficiently and reconcile transactions.
- Apply promotions, discounts, and loyalty programs correctly.
- Manage the cash register, including balancing cash and handling deposits in line with company policy.
- Issue receipts, invoices, and vouchers accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers and resolving billing-related concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional cashier station.
- Follow company procedures to prevent fraud, theft, and transaction errors.
- Report transaction discrepancies and customer feedback to the Store Supervisor or Manager.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. CPA qualification or progress towards CPA is an added advantage.
- Previous experience as a cashier in a retail environment.
- Experience in electronics retail will be an added advantage.
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using POS systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
