Pezesha are hiring a Software Engineer/Developer Interns in Nairobi.

Pezesha is a licensed fast growing digital financial marketplace empowering SMEs with access to affordable working capital. We are currently headquartered in Kenya and have operations in Uganda, whilst looking to scale across other markets in East and West Africa. It is an incredibly exciting time to join us as we enter our next phase of growth! Pezesha has a team of 50+ staff and combined with the board members they bring more than 20+ years of market, regulatory and strategy combined experiences with successful Fintech startup exits in the past.

Responsibilities

We are looking for Software developer Interns to join our rockstar tech team in supporting different teams in the day to day operations by;

Transform technical designs and notes into secure code building applications, APIs and integrations into and out of our platforms.
Collaborate with our existing team in implementing and managing our end to end credit & data platforms.
Be a primary line of support for technical solutions issues
Documentation of tech processes.
Quality assurance and testing
Collaborate with data and operations teams in ensuring our customer needs are met
Technical training to teams and partners

Required Skills and Experience

Enthusiasm for technology and a strong willingness to learn and grow as a developer.
Pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, BBIT or a related field.
Basic understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., PHP, Java, Go, etc.).
Knowledge or exposure to backend development frameworks such as Laravel, Spring Boot, or Gin(Golang) will be a plus, but not mandatory.
Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a collaborative mindset to thrive in a team-based environment.
Excellent communication skills and a keenness to actively participate in discussions.
