Woodland Star International School are recruiting a Library Intern for a 3-6 Months unpaid, voluntary internship placement at Brackenhurst, Limuru, Kenya for the 2026/2027 school year.

Role Summary
The Library Intern assists in creating a welcoming and engaging learning environment that promotes reading, research, and digital citizenship. Working under the guidance of the Teacher Librarian, the intern supports library operations, helps students access resources, assists with lessons and activities, and contributes to literacy initiatives across the school community.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily circulation of library materials including issuing, returning, and shelving books.
- Maintain an organised and welcoming library environment.
- Support students and staff in locating and using library resources.
- Assist in cataloguing, labeling, and processing new materials.
- Support library lessons, reading activities, and literacy programs.
- Assist in organising school library events such as book fairs, author visits, reading challenges, and Wild Wednesdays.
- Promote responsible use of library resources and digital citizenship.
- Maintain accurate library records and assist with inventory management.
- Help to prepare displays, bulletin boards, and reading promotion activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student learning and research activities

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma in Library and Information Science, or related field
- ICT and Library Management Systems competency
- Previous experience in a school or academic library setting is an added advantage

- At least two professional references
