Internship Programme

Mary’s Meals Kenya is inviting applications from passionate and committed recent university graduates who are eager to contribute to our school feeding programme in Turkana County, Kenya.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience while making a real difference in the lives of school-attending children. The programme will run from 1st June 2025  to 31st December 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be a Kenyan citizen, aged 26 years or below, and a recent graduate from a recognized Kenyan university, having completed studies between December 2023 and December 2024 in the tracks outlined below.
• Be willing to commit to the full six – month programme and to live and work in Turkana County. Applicants from Turkana County and similarly marginalised contexts are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
• Disclose any potential conflicts of interest (e.g. family members working with Mary’s Meals Kenya).
• Be willing to provide a valid Certificate of Good Conduct if selected

Tracks and Requirements

Programme Quality Assurance – (2 Positions)

Bachelor of Science in Mathematics or Statistics, Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Applied Computing, Bachelor of Arts in Monitoring and Evaluation or related fields

Programme Operations – (1 Position)

Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Logistics Management, Commerce, Business Management or Administration – (An International Diploma in Logistics and Transport is an added advantage).

Communications – (1 Position)

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Media, or related fields

Human Resources – (1 Position)

Bachelor of Human Resource Management, Bachelor of Commerce, or Business Management (HR Option) or related fields (CHRP qualification is an added advantage).

Administration – (1Position)

Bachelor of Technology in Office Administration and Technology, Bachelor of Business and Office Management or  Bachelor of Business Studies or related fields (additional qualifications in Office Management, Secretarial studies or document & presentation management are added advantage).
