Rafiki wa Maendeleo Trust is seeking a Communications Intern in Bondo.

Rafiki wa Maendeleo Trust is a charitable organization working in the rural area of Rarieda sub-County in Siaya County, Kenya. Our mission is to empower communities and build their capacities to create positive change for children and youth within their community.

Responsibilities

Communication

• Develop engaging content for various communication channels, including social media, newsletters, and website updates.
• Assist in the creation of marketing materials, brochures, and promotional content.
• Implement the work plans of organized events, workshops, and training sessions as assigned by supervisor.
• Assist in photography of activities for all programs and College activties .
• Manage and update social media accounts
• Monitor social media channels for engagement and respond to inquiries.
• Compile data and prepare reports on communication efforts and program impact.

Resource Mobilization

• Support fundraising campaigns and events by creating promotional materials, drafting fundraising appeals, and managing online fundraising platforms.
• Assist in researching and identifying potential donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities.
• Collaborate with the lead fundraising person to organize and execute fundraising events
• Assist proposal writing.
