Stellar HR Solutions client is hiring an Accounts Intern (Payables) with some Tours and Travel industry experience to support supplier payments, invoice processing, and accounts payable operations.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing)
- Minimum of 1-2 years proven experience in an Accounts Payable or similar accounting role.
- Mandatory experience in the Tours and Travel industry, with a good understanding of tour accounting, supplier payments, and travel-related financial transactions.
- Demonstrated experience in processing supplier invoices, preparing payment schedules, reconciling supplier statements and managing creditor accounts.
- Experience in preparing accounts payable reports and supporting month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
- Sound knowledge of Kenyan tax regulations, including VAT and withholding tax.
- Previous audit experience or exposure to internal and external audits will be an added advantage.
- Experience working with high transaction volumes while maintaining accuracy and meeting strict deadlines.
