ABOOSTO Group of Companies, a popular beauty and personal care retailer, is looking for an ICT Assistant to join our team in Nairobi.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide first-line technical support to employees and troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems and business applications.
- Support user account management, including password resets, access permissions, and email administration.
- Maintain accurate records of IT equipment and assist with monitoring the organization’s IT assets.
- Perform routine system maintenance, software updates, and preventive maintenance on IT equipment.
- Assist with network connectivity and escalate complex technical issues to the IT Supervisor where necessary.
- Support data backup and recovery processes to safeguard company information.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and information security standards.
- Document technical issues, solutions, and IT support activities.
- Provide timely and professional technical support to employees.
- Assist with any other IT-related duties assigned by the IT Supervisor
REQUIREMENTS
- Have good knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, networking, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Have strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Have basic knowledge of network troubleshooting, system administration, and cybersecurity practices.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be highly organized with good time management and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Be proactive, customer-focused, and able to work under pressure.
- Have a high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Be able to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate should at least have a Diploma OR Bachelor’s Degree in either
- Information Communication Technology
- Computer Science
- Information Systems
- Computer Networking
- Or a related field
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of experience in an ICT support environment will be an added advantage.
