Marketing Internship at Manifesto

Manifesto, Kenya’s premier digital media platform focused on investigative journalism, policy tracking, and institutional accountability, is hiring a Marketing Intern in Juja.

The Marketing Intern will support the growth and visibility of Manifesto by assisting in the development and execution of marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market research, helping design and implement marketing strategies, supporting social media and content initiatives, and assisting with audience engagement activities and events. The intern will collaborate with editorial and marketing teams to understand target audiences, track campaign performance, and contribute ideas to improve outreach and brand positioning.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Juja, with a mix of on-site presence and some work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences clearly and respectfully.
• Candidates should possess Market Research skills, including data collection, basic analysis, and reporting insights to support marketing decisions.
• Candidates should possess Sales and Marketing Strategy skills, with an interest in audience growth, campaign planning, and conversion-focused initiatives.
• Candidates should possess foundational Marketing knowledge, including familiarity with digital channels, social media platforms, and content-driven campaigns.
• Relevant qualifications such as ongoing or completed studies in Marketing, Communications, Media, Business, or related fields are beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment are preferred.
• Interest in public policy, governance, civic education, or investigative journalism is an added advantage.
• Basic proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentation software) is desirable.
