CO-OPERATIVE OFFICER II - FOURTEEN (14) POSTS- V/NO. 118/2026

Basic Salary Scale: Ksh 36,200 p.m - Ksh 47,900 p.m. (CSG 11)
House Allowance: Ksh 5,800 p.m. - Ksh 10,000 p.m.
Commuter Allowance: Ksh 4,000 p.m.
Leave allowance: As provided in the Civil Service
Annual Leave: 30 working days per financial year
Medical Cover: As provided by the government
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable

Qualification Requirements

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines: Cooperative Business, Cooperative Management, Cooperative and Community Development, Commerce, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Agribusiness or its equivalent qualifications from a university recognized in Kenya;

Duties and Responsibilities

This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will include: -

(i) collecting, collating and compiling Cooperatives data;
(ii) verifying documents for: Registration/ applications of new cooperative; amendment of by-laws; name searches; borrowing powers; indemnities charges and debentures; and remittances;
(iii) compiling cooperatives annual returns;
(iv) issuing and receiving wealth declaration forms from cooperative officials;
(v) supporting implementations of Cooperative development programmes and projects; and
(vi) disseminating cooperative policies, guidelines and standards.
(ii) verifying registration/ application documents;
(iii) carrying out pre-cooperative training for federations; and
(iv) disseminating and implementing cooperative policies, guidelines and standards.
