Phoenix Capital Limited, a digital credit provider and microfinance institution, is recruiting an Accounting Intern in Nairobi.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. CPA Part II (or ACCA equivalent); full qualification is an added advantage.
- Minimum 1-2 years experience with an Insurance Agency.
- Working knowledge of IFRS, statutory reporting, and tax laws (PAYE, VAT, withholding tax)
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and advanced Excel.
- Hands-on experience in ledger reconciliation, financial statement preparation, and budgeting/variance analysis.
- High accuracy and attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
- Integrity and professionalism in handling confidential financial information.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with departments, auditors, and regulators.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
